XI of XII · The Twelve Islands
Naxos
The crown in the sky
Ariadne was abandoned on a beach on Naxos. That same night, her fate changed.

Chapter I
The myth
Her crown remained in the sky, and there it still is.

Ariadne helped Theseus out of the Minotaur’s labyrinth with a thread, and she fled with him. Along the way they stopped at Naxos. She fell asleep on the beach and, when she woke, Theseus’s ship was already a speck on the horizon.
But Naxos was the island of Dionysus, the god of wine and of the joy of living. Dionysus found her, fell in love with her, and made her his wife. Her crown remained in the sky, and there it still is: the constellation Corona Borealis. Naxos is the largest and most fertile island in the Cyclades, a land of vineyards, of cheese, of abundance.
Chapter II
On Contadora
Offshoresailfish and marlin swim

The abundance of the Pearl Islands comes from the sea. Their waters, fed each season by the upwelling, are among the richest in Panama’s Pacific, and offshore swim sailfish and marlin.
At the villa’s restaurant, the catch of the day is cooked with the memory of the Mediterranean: olive oil, lemon, herbs. And when night falls, far from the city lights, the sky over Contadora fills with stars.
Chapter III
Your ritual
Have dinner at the villa’s restaurant and, afterward, look for Ariadne’s crown in the sky.
The room
Shades of wheat
Pale woods, soft textiles, and shades of wheat. The warmest room in the villa, made for sharing: a couple, a family, a long table.
Reference images: the photo shoot on Contadora will replace them. The room details (size, beds, view and capacity) will be published with the real data.
