Andros
The island of seafarers
The sailors of Andros crossed every ocean. So did the whales of Contadora.

Chapter I
The myth
Andros always lived with its eyes on the horizon.

Andros is the greenest island in the Cyclades: springs, streams, small waterfalls among the olive trees. The ancients said that during the festival of Dionysus, a spring beside his temple flowed with wine, and that if anyone carried it away from the temple, it turned back into water.
But the great story of Andros is that of its seafarers. Its villages produced some of the most important shipowning families in Greece, who opened steamship routes between the Aegean and the Americas. Andros always lived with its eyes on the horizon.
Chapter II
On Contadora
Jun – Octhumpback whales come to the Pearl Islands to give birth

Every year, between June and October, humpback whales travel thousands of kilometers from the cold southern waters to the Pearl Islands archipelago. They come to give birth.
One study identified nearly three hundred whales here, about sixty of them calves, and estimates there are more than a thousand. They are the great seafarers of the Pacific, and Contadora is one of their cradles.
Chapter III
Your ritual
In season, head out to sea at dawn to see them, always at a respectful distance and with responsible operators. Out of season, sail to Isla Pacheca, where frigatebirds and pelicans nest.
The room
Olive green and light
Olive green, earth tones, and plenty of natural light. A room that breathes, for those who rise early and want to head out.
Reference images: the photo shoot on Contadora will replace them. The room details (size, beds, view and capacity) will be published with the real data.
